Brief:

Employees use Android mobile phones managed by MS Intune, allowing application and website access according to defined policies. To further secure the handled information, additional requirements were identified that MS Intune could not manage.

Idea:

The objective was to protect photos and videos of internal arrangements within Maruti from external exposure while enabling users to circulate media for internal work processes. We implemented data sharing through secure communication between users' devices and Marutiʼs DMZ server. Additionally, a cron job was set up to synchronize the data at regular intervals.

Execution:

We mapped the entire process and identified key stakeholders. The application was developed using Kotlin, Node.js, and React.js. Initially developed on a local server, the project was later deployed in a demilitarized zone DMZ for added security.

Outcome:

The project was successfully deployed on Maruti's DMZ server and is now utilized daily by approximately 2,700 Maruti employees. This solution has saved over 500 hours of audit time each month.
